What is Menopause?
Menopause is the time that marks the end of the menstrual cycle. Perimenopause "around menopause" also called the menopausal transition refers to the time leading up to this natural milestone.
Women experience symptoms associated with Menopause or Perimenopause at different ages usually between starting from early 40s to mid 50s.
Menopause can occur in two ways, natural or surgical - Natural Menopause is a normal process which happens when the body's response to reproductive hormones slows down and prepares to stop. Surgical Menopause occurs after the surgical removal of the ovaries which produce reproductive hormones.
A woman's experience of Menopause is unique, and symptoms can range from physical to emotional.
