MICGP., M.B., B.Ch., B.A.O., L.R.C.P & S.I. MSc LHPE, MSc Global Health, graduated with an honours degree from the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland in 2004. Dr Fanta underwent her specialist training with the North East GP Training Scheme and is a certified family physician specializing in women's health, particularly in the areas of menopause management and family planning.
She is LARC Certified (with over 10 years experience in Mirena Coil fitting and removal).
She also holds masters degrees with honours in Global Health (Trinity College Dublin, 2009) and in Leadership in Health Professionals Education (The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, 2016).
Fanta is a member of the Irish College of general practitioners (ICGP), The British Menopause Society (BMS) and The North American Menopause Society (NAMS).
Fanta has years of experience working in both general practice and specialist settings. Between 2021 and 2022, she was the only specialist GP working in the first dedicated menopause clinic in Ireland.
